Responsibilities for these jobs included preparing final right-of-way plans over parcel maps and legal descriptions, locating wetland flags, GPS monuments, and right of way monuments, preparing base maps, site boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and boundary line adjustments.
TACOMA TO LAKEWOOD
This project expands Sound Transit's Sounder commuter rail service along a new 1.2 mile track and includes two new stations in Tacoma and Lakewood. L&A performed topographic surveys and control monumentation including researching and updating horizontal and vertical control data, verifying and augmenting topographic information in sufficient detail to support development of project, developing right-of-way lines, and compiling lease and license data. Property survey tasks also included easement descriptions for 3 new grade crossings, 11 existing grade crossings, and proposed property takes.
Evans Creek Relocation project designed and permitted the relocation of Evans Creek channel and buffered out of the southeast Redmond industrial area into an adjacent open space.
As a sub consultant, Lin and Associates complete a site survey extending from the south edge of the existing creek alignment to 250 feet north of the proposed creek alignment. Tasks include topographic surveying and preparing legal descriptions, parcel maps and graphics for easements and other property agreements.
CITY OF SEATTLE: SPOKANE STREET VIADUCT
L&A was part of a team involved in widening the South Spokane Street Viaduct. The goal was to improve traffic safety and upgrade the structural and seismic performance of the 60-year-old viaduct that connects I-5 to the West Seattle High Level Bridge. L&A provided GPS control surveys, Topographic Surveys, Utility Mapping, Detour route maps, Design Base Maps, Field Surveys, Right of Way plans, Legal Descriptions and updated plans to reflect new construction features.
